1. System Settings Page: Allow Guard to Upload Media from Gallery
Within TimeTec Patrol’s mobile app, there is a ‘Report Incident’ feature which allows guards to report incidents while they are on patrol. When submitting the report, if it is necessary to provide more information, the guard can also choose to attach one or more files in the following formats: photo, video and voice recording.
By default, guards have the option to either take a new photo or video from the camera or they may also choose to submit from existing files in the phone gallery. However, in October, system settings (Company > System Settings > Patrol Settings) were enhanced with a new option, allowing Admins to set whether guards are allowed to upload files from the gallery.
a. System Settings - Added Option “Allow Upload Photo/Video from Gallery”
2. System Settings Page: Allow Guard to Switch to Offline Mode
The TimeTec Patrol mobile app has an Offline Mode to cater for patrolling sites which might have a poor Internet connection. In such situations, the guard can enable Offline Mode and proceed with patrolling. All patrolling records, photos, text and voice incident reports will be saved in the smartphone storage. After the guard returns to Online mode, they can upload the stored data to the server.
In the latest release, we added a new option at System Settings, enabling Admins to manage whether guards can use the Offline Mode for patrolling routes.
a. System Settings - Added Option: “Allow Guard to Switch On/Off Offline Mode”
3. Enhanced Manage System Roles & Admin – Added Rights “Manage Patrol Settings” & “Live Location Tracking View”
Next, on the System Role page, we updated module rights by adding “Manage Patrol Settings” and “Live Location Tracking View”.
